Randy Swallow’s dynamic blues/rock-driven guitar shows have been garnering buzz around Vancouver. Hailing from music hotbed Halifax, Nova Scotia, Randy has been honing his craft in bands, always at the helm with his fresh take on Rock songwriting and classic Pop and Rock covers from the 70s into the 2000s. Whether it’s a three-piece hard-driven electric trio ( joined by Lyndon Dewitt on drums and Billy Mendoza on bass), a stripped-down acoustic trio or a solo acoustic set with a looper pedal, Randy’s diverse musical range has got you covered.
CAREER BACKGROUND
Fed by his East Coast roots, both hard-driven electric shows and stripped-down acoustic shows have become effortlessly interchangeable due to an East Coast culture ranging from the nightclub scene to East Coast acoustic kitchen parties. Randy has extensive experience playing for events, weddings, venues, and restaurants throughout Canada.
RANDY’S MUSIC STYLE
He describes his sound as an eclectic mix of music from the 70’s to the present with a strong emphasis on guitar-driven blues. Draws inspiration from artists like Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jeff Healey. His repertoire is very extensive and includes songs from bands like The Police, David Bowie and Michael Jackson, just to name a few.
