Francis Hooper is a seasoned DJ with over 15 years of experience behind the decks, known for bringing energy and personality to every event he plays. He got his start in clubs and bars, quickly becoming a trusted in-house DJ for busy weekend crowds where reading the room was everything. Over the years, he has built a strong reputation in the wedding scene, DJing celebrations of all styles and even earning a shout-out on a CBC podcast for his standout work. His event experience spans major venues, including holiday parties at the Commodore Ballroom, the Vancouver Convention Centre, the Fairmont Macdonald ballroom and the MEC headquarters.
CAREER BACKGROUND
Francis Hooper has produced and engineered 10 albums to date and has toured extensively across Europe, Canada and the United States, primarily with his bands Doohickey Cubicle, Booty EP and Goodwood Atoms. He has performed at notable international festivals including Reeperbahn (Hamburg), Linecheck (Italy), SXSW (Austin), Treefort (Boise), POP MTL (Montréal), Sled Island (Calgary), Rifflandia (Victoria) and Khatsahlano (Vancouver). Alongside his music career, he has built a strong background in audio and video post-production, contributing to well-known shows such as Rick and Morty (Seasons 5-8), Solar Opposites (Season 2), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Seasons 1–5), and Bob’s Burgers (Season 1).

Francis specializes in nostalgic hits from the ’90s and 2000s, blending them with funky, groove-driven tracks, world music influences and a touch of rock to keep dance floors moving. His sets are known for their seamless flow and ability to connect with diverse audiences. Recently, he has expanded his creative approach by DJing music videos and producing original mashups, adding a fresh visual and sonic dimension to his performances.
