52nd Street brings the piano-driven anthems of Billy Joel to life with seasoned musicianship and high-energy, captivating performances. Fronted by Bryan Binnema- a piano bar veteran whose years behind the keys have made him one of Vancouver’s most in-demand performers- and backed by some of the city’s most sought-after players, 52nd Street is hitting the ground running. From theatres to casinos, private events and more, the band draws on years of collective professional experience to deliver one of rock’s most beloved catalogues for audiences all over the Greater Vancouver Area and beyond.

CAREER BACKGROUND

Bryan has been honing his craft on cruise ships over the last 5 years, playing for audiences all over the world as a bandleader, music manager, and solo artist. He has worked for the largest cruise lines in the world, including Carnival and Norwegian cruise lines, and throughout his time has consistently earned glowing reviews from passengers. Since 2020, he has found himself back in his hometown of Vancouver, BC, and he is excited to bring his show to local audiences.

BAND MEMBERS

Founded by Bryan Binnema, a core member of successful party band What’s Next, the 52nd Street Band is comprised of a who’s who of Vancouver musicians, including 3 other core members of What’s Next. Collectively, they have played just about every venue in Vancouver, including BC Place, Roger’s Arena, the Orpheum, and many more. They are:

Bryan Binnema: piano and lead vocals

Tim Charman: bass and backing vocals

Chris Sallis-Lyon: drums and backing vocals

Bob Power: guitar and backing vocals

Cole Tinney: auxiliary keys and synths

Ardeshir: saxophones
